Odyssey Golf Overview
Odyssey Golf is a brand of Callaway Golf acquired in 1997 with an eventual release of the Odyssey White Hot putter line in 2000, and the latest release of the Black Series Tour Designs in 2010. Callaway Golf emerged from several previous ventures through Ely Callaway Jr. Mr. Callaway, who passed in 2001, was very fond of golf and believed in helping golfers find more success and enjoyment in the game, regardless of skill level. That tradition carries on today with Callaway’s mission of helping golfers enjoy the sensation of striking the ball perfectly and more often.
Innovation is at the forefront of Callaway’s lines with a consistent goal of helping golfers have personal breakthroughs on the course. With more patents than any other golf manufacturer, the Callaway Golf Research and Development area and the Ely Callaway Performance Center are always looking to raise the golfer’s game. In particular, the Odyssey brand is advancing technology to craft the world’s best putters and lower the scores of all golfers.
Odyssey Golf is based out of Carlsbad, California. Thanks to the company’s innovations in design, performance technology and alignment aids, Odyssey is one of the preferred names in putters on the professional tours, with numerous top players relying on Odyssey putters on the green. Their strong reputation for pure innovation comes full circle as Odyssey continues to consult with some of the best golfers in the world to collaborate on future designs.
