As important as the clubhead is to maximizing distance and accuracy, playing with a correctly fit shaft is equally important. This is why Cleveland Golf and Fujikura composites have worked together to develop a two shaft fitting system specifically designed to maximize the performance of the HiBORE XLS driver.
SIZE - Largest Face Ever
At 17% larger than the HiBORE XL, it's Cleveland's largest ever and among the biggest on the market. Full Face Performance (FFP) extends the "Hot Zone" of maximum .830 COR across a larger portion of the face creating more distance from both solid shots and mishits alike.
STABILITY - High M.O.I.
Features maximum USGA clubhead dimensions to push the MOI limit. 5300 MOI represents a 13% increase from the HiBORE XL for control off the tee for extremely straight drives. Heel and toe "stability foils" signify where weight has been added to the perimeter of the clubhead to maximize stability.
SIGHT - Dual Alignment Features
Crown plaque and "stability foils" make it easy to properly align the club at address.
Fujikura Fit-On M Shaft Fitting System
The Fujikura Fit-On M Red and Gold shaft fitting system allows each player to determine if a Tour Trajectory (Red) or Standard Trajectory (Gold) is right for their particular game.
The driver and fairway Red & Gold shafts have been newly redesigned for 2008 to optimize performance specifically with the HiBORE XLS clubheads.
GOLD - Standard Trajectory
- Low-Mid kickpoint and active tip section for increased launch angle
- Higher ball speed and optimal trajectory results in maximum distance with smooth feel at impact.
RED - Tour Trajectory
- Designed for strong players with fast speeds or players who struggle with too much spin
- Mid-High kickpoint and low torque allow skilled players to control their trajectory.
