Bobby Jones Hybrids by Jesse Ortiz
The Bobby Jones Hybrid designed by Jesse Ortiz is intended to replace the difficult to hit longer irons. Instead of designing hybrid clubs that look like standard irons, Jesse Ortiz philosophy takes advantage of the design of a fairway metal's low and deeper center of gravity, its wide bodied triangle of stability (TOS), and its versatile contoured sole. Instead of using the homogenous shape of most hybrids with a long, flat leading edge, Jesse Ortiz has created a more traditional shaped hybrid. It is a throw back to the original Cleek or Mashee.
The Bobby Jones Hybrids were designed for maximum performance, with the ability to get the ball out of every type of lie, whether it be a divot of fairway bunker. Bobby Jones Hybrids by Jesse Ortiz are also shorter in length, which increases accuracy and makes the Bobby Jones Hybrid a real long iron replacement, not just a fairway metal alternatives. The Bobby Jones Hybrids feature a deep, translucent Jaguar Racing green color, proprietary JS-6 and JS-7 shafts, and classic, heavy knit head covers.

Using the same technology as the fairway metals, Bobby Jones hybrids are designed to replace the hard-to-hit long irons. Rather than designing hybrids that look like irons, Jesse Ortiz' philosophy takes advantage of the fairway metal's low and deep center of gravity, its wide bodied triangle-of-stability (TOS), and its versatile contoured sole.
Instead of using the homogenous shape of most hybrids long, flat leading edge Jesse Ortiz has created a more traditional shape hybrid. It is a throwback to the old Cleek or Mashee. These clubs were designed for maximum performance, with the ability to get the ball out of every type of lie, whether it be a divot of fairway bunker.
Bobby Jones hybrids are also shorter in length to increase accuracy and truly be long iron replacements not fairway metal alternatives. All clubs feature a deep, translucent Jaguar Racing green color, proprietary JS-6 and JS-7 shafts, and classic, heavy knit head covers.
The Bobby Jones by Jesse Ortiz Hybrids were the only clubs to receive outstanding marks in the categories of "Performance/Playability" and "Personal Preference in the 2006 Golf Digest "Hot List." Jesse Ortiz' Hybrids outplayed the Callaway Fusion FT-Hybrid, Nike CPR, Ping G5, TaylorMade Rescue Dual and six other clubs.
Bobby Jones Players is the next generation of technology from an earlier Jesse Ortiz design that became the #1 fairway metal on Tour, from 1998 to 2001. Smaller in profile, but slightly deeper in face dimension, Players is designed with the look that Tour professionals prefer, while incorporating the critical weight distributions that enhance playability and forgiveness for mid- to high- handicap golfers. The clean, symmetrical shape of the heads, encourage easy alignment to the target, providing shot maneuverability that is uncommon in fairway metals. The sleek, tri-tiered power sole reduces drag in all turf conditions. The classically shaped 440 cc Players drivers feature two strategically positioned weight screws, of 2 (gold) and 12 (silver) grams that expand the Triangle of Stability™, maximizing the accuracy-enhancing phenomenon known as the "gear effect." All Players clubs feature a deep, translucent "forest green" color, proprietary JS-6 and JS-7 shafts by Graphite Design and classic, heavy-knit headcovers.
Unlike all other hybrids, the Bobby Jones Hybrids feature a well-contoured sole with the heel and toe areas swept away. Jesse Ortiz' unique design strategy provides unparalleled versatility from difficult lies. Whether you're in the deep rough, a fairway trap, in a divot or on hardpan, these long iron replacements will save you strokes and replace your lost confidence in the 175 to 210 yard shot. Bobby Jones by Jesse Ortiz Hybrids are the Club of the Year. |
