Heavy Putter Overview
With a solid engineering background, Stephen Boccieri started out trying to improve his own game which led to the birth of the first Heavy Putter in 2003. What is so unique about the Heavy Putter is that it is the only club in the history of the game that can claim that it improves the player's stroke by making it more consistent to ensure proper putting technique. Consistent, repetitive, pendulum strokes are the keys to designing Heavy Putter. In late 2004, Mr. Boccieri finished the development of the first Heavy Putters ready for tour use featuring his patented Back Weighting System. The Back Weighting System manages the increased weight in the head by using balance - a simple but necessary innovation.
The mission of Heavy Putter is to lower the scores of all golfers by bringing innovative player improvement equipment to the masses. As quoted by Mr. Boccieri, "We will only develop and manufacture products that are truly ground-breaking. We vow to ignore all preconceptions about accepted equipment standards in order to continue being a leader in the development of new technologies to make the game of golf more enjoyable for players at every level."
Rapid growth in 2005 led to its relocation to its permanent 7,000 square foot headquarters facility in Ridgefield, Connecticut. The facility includes a design studio, testing lab, a product customization and development area as well as its corporate offices. Since its introduction, Heavy Putter has captured victories on the PGA, European, Champions, Nationwide, Asian, Canadian and European Challenge Tours.
